The Birth Prep Framework:
A 4-visit approach covering everything your body needs before birth.
Over four visits, we help prepare your pelvic floor for labor and birth through assessing pelvic floor readiness, exploring labor positioning, teaching breathwork, pushing mechanics, and postpartum planning. It is not a rigid package but a framework we follow to make sure nothing gets missed before your due date.
Is breastfeeding part of your plan?
You can meet with a lactation consultant before your baby arrives.
FAQs for Pregnant Moms
-
Yes. Pelvic floor therapy is safe throughout pregnancy and is often recommended specifically because of pregnancy. Your therapist will adjust every assessment and treatment to where you are in your pregnancy and what your body needs at that stage.
-
You can start at any point during pregnancy. Many clients come in during the first trimester to address pain early and build a foundation before birth. Others come in during the second or third trimester for birth preparation specifically. Earlier is generally better, but it is never too late to benefit.
-
We accept most major commercial insurance plans for lactation services, including Cigna, UHC, Aetna, Anthem, Multiplan, and Velocity. All other services are cash-pay. We accept HSA and FSA and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
-
A regular visit addresses whatever you are currently experiencing, whether that is pain, bladder changes, or movement concerns. The Birth Prep Framework is a structured 4-visit approach that covers everything your body needs specifically to prepare for labor and delivery. The two can overlap and many clients do both.
-
Yes. Cesarean birth preparation is a specific part of what we address. That includes core and pelvic floor readiness going into surgery, what to expect during recovery, and how to support your body afterward.
-
Yes! Addressing pelvic floor function and movement mechanics before birth gives your body a stronger foundation going in. Women who come to us during pregnancy consistently have smoother postpartum recoveries. Conditions like pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, chronic pelvic pain, and long-term bladder leaking are significantly more involved to treat after the fact than they are to prevent before delivery.
-
A prenatal lactation visit covers how breastfeeding works, what to expect in the first days after birth, latch basics, pumping options, and how to set yourself up for the feeding experience you are hoping for. You do not need to wait until your baby arrives to get this information.
-
Results come in stages. Early sessions focus on identifying root causes and building body awareness. From there, treatment shifts to direct symptom relief. Most clients feel meaningful changes during that middle phase, then finish with building long-term strength and resilience. Best way to determine how many sessions this will take is to receive a personalized assessment from one of our therapists.
